User Interviews

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Research

DESCRIPTION
Interviewed around 30 employees from around the world to gather insights on the current system needs and what we could do better with the website. 

Data gathered after the interviews help move forward the research needed to gather from the customers and then to create the mockups of the website. 

THE PROBLEM
During the interviews, users provided information on how hard it is to find information and too many clicks to find what you are looking for.

THE GOAL
The goal is to build a navigation and search for the users to find the details of a product in one or two clicks.


Cloudathon

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Research, Design, Prototype

DESCRIPTION
A two week problem statement assigned to a group of Principal employees who have been randomly assigned to work together to solve and build a fully functional product.

THE PROBLEM
The stakeholder needed a solution for there surveys close feedback loop on low scores survey for across the enterprise.

THE GOAL
Create a fully functional dashboard for the users to be able to review quickly and efficiently on how to close escalated surveys within the SLA.


Prototypes & Mockups

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Design

DESCRIPTION
Created an interactive prototype and mockups of both desktop and mobile of an internal site needed for India. 

THE PROBLEM
The site was not user-friendly as it had a lot of data and fields but no details on which should be completed first and what was required.

THE GOAL
To make sure it was easy for the user to move from one section to the next and for this to primarily work on a mobile-first.


Whiteboard & Wireframes

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Collaborator

DESCRIPTION
While working remotely I organized a way for us to do a whiteboard and brainstorm the new navigation and what would work best for our new Intranet. Once we ironed out what we like to see on the navigation and main dashboard of the intranet, I created a wireframe for others to visualize the new dashboard and navigation. 

THE PROBLEM
The current Intranet was not being used by the company as it was not user friendly and not able to find information quickly.

THE GOAL
To collaborate and lead the team on a brainstorm session to understand what areas need to be more prominent on the Intranet over other items to allow more users to utilize the content on the site.


Brand Guidelines 

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Design

DESCRIPTION
Creating a new Web Guidelines PDF for agencies to use when working on our websites. Also creating a brand and governance website to house all the digital assets and to use in reference with the redesign. 

THE PROBLEM
Created an SSO system for all employees to access the web brand guidelines. However, agencies and third parties need some information to create web pages for business units.

THE GOAL
Provide an easy to access document for business units to send to agencies and third parties.

Process Flows

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DESCRIPTION
User process flow was needed to provide internal teams with how to move support items to be reviewed to production. User Process flow to provide direction on the email list automation tool. Survey process flow on process improvements needed and focus areas.

THE PROBLEM
All of the processes were not documented and was not clear who does what in the process.

THE GOAL
Create a process flow for users to plan and think through how to automate the process.


Redesign Mockups

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
UX Lead

DESCRIPTION
Kemin.com to be redesigned by 2022. Working with a vendor on the designs and development we were able to have approval from the CEO with little to no changes. I helped with a lot of decisions on the design and created a mood board to help organize styles and interests by departments. Also by utilizing interview data I helped ensure a lot of the concerns or wish items are being met in the new design. 

THE PROBLEM
Kemin did a “lift and shift” in 2018 but truly has not had a redesign since 2015. The site had outdated functionality in the bac-end and was not user-friendly on the customer view.

THE GOAL
Update the backend components to make it easy to author pages. Update the customer-facing view to make it easier for users to find what they need with fewer clicks.


Non-Profit Targeted Emails

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Strategy, UX/UI, Development

DESCRIPTION
Create emails for various non-profits across the nation. Targeted emails are used to provide a single focus on planned giving. Provide previous email stats as well as email trends and then work with other departments to coordinate the content and design. Develop emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 

THE PROBLEM
Users were not opening the emails and were having a hard time understanding what to select.

THE GOAL
Being able to create emails to capture the interest in the user to open and to select the CTA.


SEO & Social

MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
SEO and Social Media

DESCRIPTION
Freelance for Paper Systems, I took their redesign and worked on their SEO and ensure they were getting the hits and information needed about their site. 

Weekly posting of job alerts or products from their company to build their social presence. They are getting more reach with each post each day and more views on the website.

THE PROBLEM
No real social media presence and want to get more engagement on the site.

THE GOAL
Increase in social posts each week and gain more visits each month.
